Lore and Theories of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes

I don’t know about any of you but I love Star Wars lore and was hoping that someone might be aware of the lore for this game (if any). It very much seems like we are some sort of galactic gambler making money off of a holo game of histories heroes (one could speculate that the game occurs sometime after the events of the current trilogy). The quality of the holo game (yes all of the characters are holograms in game) is on par with some of the more potent holo projections from Star Wars: Clone Wars, specifically the projections used to disguise the team who was going to kidnap Palpatine when Obi-wan went undercover. However that technology has not been prevalent, even in the current trilogy.

Does anyone else have any theories or knowledge of the lore?
