I was just wondering, what if the announcement of the added gear requirements are just to make people spend their saved energy and at the end everything stays the same and they say: "Oh, sry. We meant to say MK 6 not MK 5 furnace, here are 50 crystals".
Do you think the world would burn?

Nah. It's just a way to prolong the life of level 80 and make it harder to get certain characters to max gear. People maxed 70 within a few weeks of the cap raise and had nothing to do for a month or two.

What I don't get is, the holo lense for the furnace has a lvl requirement of 81. does that mean the lvl requirement for the furnace will also be 81?
Then there are tons of toons who could not going to gear 9...
