Given that someone can place impossible defense as a utility for keeping someone else from ranking (just like they can pacing weak defense to help someone rank someone else pointed out) simply eliminate the same amount of points as awarded for a victory. Voila. That way it would be mathematically impossible for worse records to rank above better records.
The feats and banners still serve a purpose as "tie breakers" within a record bracket.
That would eliminate the incentive to lose on purpose in favor of full clears that we currently have.
Just throwing the old tip in the tip jar!

Man you’re like a broken record.
This is still a false claim. It always was.
As already explained to you on several occasions, there's absolutely no incentive to lose on purpose. A win - no matter how few offensive banners scored - will always reward significantly more points than a full clear loss. The bonus for winning is more than 100 points higher than a perfect clear loss will reward you.
Do the math. It's simple.
Be rational.
There’s another fix you could try. Adapt your play style - it’s now 15 months since it’s been causing you problems.
