Crancor reward conflict

Why is the reward for the new crancor raid set as competitive when the only way to complete the raid is through cooperation?
I always understood the idea of better rewards for top players, they spend money to have best teams, which is all cg cares about.
I have played for a couple years now and haven't complained, but this is likely the last step of inconsiderate thinking by cg pushing me to quit.
Anyone agree that crancor raid rewards should be more even across a cooperative team beating it or is the point of the raid to create fighting within a guild?
Oh, and to make this worse, I do have GLrey, but SLKR is the only Galactic legend who can solo sith raid and the only GL who is key to crancor. So those of us who picked the wrong GL to go after can't compete in raids. Seems fair. Not.
