Ship blueprints and Gear Crunch

Now I know they said a while back they would be looking into the gear crunch and ship blueprints. Just curious has there been any motives are indications of change with these two things. Both of these things where mentioned but not promised and I am just curious if there has been any updates or conversation regarding this since the release of double shard drops. Also how would you personally make both of these grinds easier?
