Do equipped mods count towards the mod inventory cap?

Or am I needlessly inflating my GP by throwing mods on characters I don’t use to free up mod inventory space?

Inflated GP on low end toons hasn't been an issue forever now.
Why are so many people terrified of GAC matchmaking lolol?
If your whole guild is doing it, it does have some effect on your TW matches. At early game that could be an issue, maybe, sort of. Not sure how much GP it actually adds in reality.
throwing mods on lower level toons won't affect the mm, just toons in the top #X (the # depends on division etc).
Also, thorowing mods on won't affect gp of those toon like taking bleh toons like phasma to r3 or r5 or whatever it is needed for slkr, for example
