Malak bug

My malak isn’t gaining/recovering health when he uses Drain Life from neither his health steal nor the ability mechanic. What am I missing? His other two skills are recovering health when used.

It never absorbs health.

I use nihi lead, traya, DR, malak, sion

(I know this isn’t the best team I could use, I play it for fun).
