Add Marquee Events to the Journey Guide to aid new players

Hello

New Players are keeping swgoh alive and therefor they should all the benefits long time players had. That includes Marquee Events like the bad batch. Marquee Events are basically free shards to introduce new toons and therefor its not favoring new players in any way. Its actually the opposite right now that new players are "punished" and thats reducing chances that new players stay because they might be in a major disadvantage to players that started some weeks earlier if they have to compete against new meta teams like the bad batch.

So include Marquee Events in the Journey Guide and after unlocking a Marquee toon, you can add the Marquee Event packs to the store for the player. Chances are good that you can earn more through that packs from new players as you did with long time players. So everybody benefits!

As a new player I can see your perspective, but no one is being punished. Players who were here at the time a character was launched were rewarded with a few shards.

New players have the advantage of those characters being farmable "right away" and in some cases their drops being doubled.
From my understanding this is not completely out of the realm of possibility, but they cannot add all of them back, as they would start making the app too big. Many of them were archived due to this reason.

Maybe at least have a marquee pack worth the 4 Stars like you would have with the Event + the pack (only available if you won't attended the event or fixed upgrade to 4 stars). Or if it is to much to put it into the store a Marquee Team Pack like that. Make the price equal to the event packs price summed up with the same stuff that you would get from the packs.

So over all it would be exactly the same price and stuff as the event + packs. You could do a frequent rotation of this packs.

New players are not keeping SWGoH alive, whales are. And for your adding marquees to the Journey Guide is a bad idea because then it makes it pointless for the players who were playing at the time when the marquee originally came. Plus, as Kyno as pointed out, new players get the marquee chars when they are farmable, and in some cases, accelerated drop rates.
I've found this whole experience to be very enlightening.

Thank you for evaluating. Your feedback is appreciated.

But it would not harm anybody to equalize new and long time players...

It also doesnt harm anyone to not add marquees back just to give players who were not here at that time 30 shards of a character.

And even if they just gave those shards to new players, it wouldnt equalize new and old players. That doesnt need to be nor is it a goal. Honestly new players play a very different game than old players do, and have been given more things to help advance them into more game play, but still not be at the same level as an older player.

Then what would be the point in playing longer, when the game was less new player-friendly? New players already have so much that older players did not have, why do they need this?

It’s hard enough for new players to gear up and upgrade characters with the limited resources they have without dumping a ton of marquee characters on them on top of that. A lot of people when they start out just upgrade anything in their roster, and this would hurt them the most.

The whole point of marquees is that you must be playing the game when they’re released, or your miss out. You could be a 4 year player but miss out on the week a new character is released.
