New name for Slave I

So word is the new name for Slave I will be Firespray. I can't imagine I'm the only one here that is completely underwhelmed with that. It has no hint of menace whatsoever, and seems like they spent less than five minutes coming up with it. Thinking for 30 seconds I spit out a couple of names to my guildmates that would be better. Somebody liked one of them and half-jokingly suggested I put it out there. It's Saturday morning, I don't want to start yardwork yet, and it would be really neat to get a campaign going where someone in the general community could name Boba's ship, so I figured why not?

Firespray is literally what it is. Its a modified Firespray class police cruiser

Yeah, the link my guildmate shared about the new name mentioned that. Never knew that until reading the link. Still not a good name, and wouldn't make sense unless it was the first ship of the line, which it may be. I'm not that hardcore into the lore.

Soul's End is pretty good! I'm also warming to Firespray. I'm picturing Boba as being really fond of his wrist flamethrower, nicknamed it firespray since that's what it does, and then repurposed the name for the ship.

I'm saying it was reported by a clickbait site about a comic book cover (which doesn't show the title) and a press release (which I followed like six more links for and could never find - because clickbait site) about a comic book that is in no way "official".

Understood, but is it not feasible considering the name Slave 1 was already dropped by Disney? You would think they would give it a different name at some point. Admittedly this could be a trial balloon to see how well the name would be accepted. Still a fun game to see what names we can come up with, though I don't expect much traffic now since the mods moved the thread off the main page.

Did Disney not request the name of Slave 1 to be dropped in favor of "Boba Fett's Starship" on the lego Mandolorian version? Everything that I've read has said that Disney does not want to use the name any longer.
