Is there a new limit of how much normal energy we can hoard

I did got 2190 normal energy and i can't get more than that is there a way? Is it a bug or is there a new limitation of how much energy we can hoard right now. Because i remember lot of content creators hoarded 10k normal energy to unlock GL's on the first day.

They used the old app store packs that came with energy to get that high

Or once you get to the limit point (2k… meaning: 1999 allows you to purchase another refresh for 120 more = 2119)… you only add 135 free bonus per day (45 x 3). That and some cash packs that pop ups from time to time with 200 energy among other stuff.

I know for mod energy the limit is 1000, after that game doesn't let you to refresh.

So you can't buy normal energy with crystals after you hit 2000 but you can buy energy from packs with real money. GREAT
