To be fair, the basic mod slicing mats are hardly premium.

Does anybody know when was the last time they updated Bronziums in general? Put in a new character or gear piece or anything?

But if they are open to updating them, yes 100% mod slicing mats(at least for lower level 5-dot mods) would be awesome

The last time they were updated was just after they doubled the farming pace for legacy 'accelerated' characters, and they then circled back around to bronziums and doubled the drop rates of single shards of those characters as well as doubled the drop rate of those full characters.
