Personally I am doing fine. Finished 11-1 this season including 5 wins vs opponents with 1 more GL than me, close to unlocking my fourth GL, promoted to Kyber 1 and earning more crystals than I was before.

However any suggestion that high GP = top player or that the previous iteration of GAC was not real, I find hilarious!

I like Ahnald. He's a whale but classifies himself as a product tester. He does actually test these new characters for us so we know if it worth the time investment. I don't see that as a bad thing.

Yes he does call out CG when they make a mistake but I think the real reason they black ball him is because he discourages people who consider whaling because of the sheer costs involved. At the end of the day, this is a mobile game not a mobile casino. They shouldn't even be encouraging people to spend $350 on new characters as it's socially irresponsible and could lead a lot of vulnerable people like gambling addicts into serious debt.

I'm not saying it is all CGs fault. In an ideal world, everyone would have impulse control. I do personally they should re-think their pricing model though.

Whether you believe it or not, BOTH Ahnald and CG are benefiting from this adversity between them. Both of them know it and both of them are enjoying that adversarial relationship because of the benefits from it.

He's got some solid stuff and for the most part I don't mind, it's just occasionally that he goes overboard and I have to turn it off.

I'm curious about that. I absolutely see how Ahnald benefits from the adversarial relationship, but I fail to see how CG capitalizes on that at all. They are the villain to thousands (and maybe hundreds of thousands) of players (sidenote: i have no idea why players who hate this game/CG will still continue play it and bash it - it's beyond me). How does that benefit CG?

Because they are still playing and he's keeping thousands of fans involved and motivated to play SWGOH. I can't see how people who hate the game would continue to play either. I enjoy the game, it's just certain decisions and parts of the game that frustrate me and/or that I hate. (i.e., Grindquest, excessive RNG, etc.) I'd much love it if they had a common sense checker on staff for them to ask, "is this stupid?" before they implement something, but all too often the beancounters are making decisions instead of the devs creating content for the game.

Competition / adversarial relationships are good for business, especially when you have a huge platform to present your created content to.
