Launch characters and the future
With Mace Windu finally getting a rework, despite the apparent unwillingness of CG, the question now comes to this: what of the other launch characters.
I am of course talking about characters like Kit Fisto, Mob Enforcer, Eeth Koth and so on. Characters who have been around since the launch of this game but never touched once. They will probably never be touched because they don't have the reputation that Mace Windu does.
Now, of course, one could make the argument that other characters could boost the underused ones, like KAM, or OmiQGJ, and it's true they help. But if you don't have those characters, the ones who get boosted, like Aayla or IGD simply do not work. Who looks at IGD's kit and says "yes I will use him for defense up" when GK exists, or Yoda, Or Bastilla.
Of course there are the surprise reworks, like Royal Guard, but that's only because the character they service had no other option available at the time. Tusken Raider was required for Lord Vader too, but they never got a rework like RG.
And then there's Omicrons. Yes they do help make characters much better, but that's only because that character was usable to begin with. Could you imagine an Omicron for Gammorean Guard, or IG-86? Did you even remember IG-86 existed??
The point is, despite the amount of characters being added to the game to add new abilities, synergies and meta shifts, there are still characters that were here from the start that have never been touched by the developers or the players who could be expanded upon and deserve the attention, but will probably continue to rot away because nobody wants to consider them, which makes you question what place some of the newer characters will have in the future of this game if launch characters haven't even been thought about in 6 years.

Why not? An omi can completely change a toon from useless to OP, if they choose to do that. For example, they could totally just slap an omi on IG-86's special to "call all droid allies to assist, dealing damage equal to 400% of their health". Imagine that on a GG team.
Heck, you never know, that might even bring a few retired r7 IG-86 owners out of retirement.
I doubt they do that anymore because with people like TopCash calling the shots, it’s just “too expensive” or “not financially lucrative” for them to do anymore. Im shocked we got the mace rework we did honestly.
