What is the difference between dodged, evaded, deflected and resisted?

Too many terms!

    Deflect is for Special Attacks
    Dodged is for Physical Attacks
Resistance reduces Special Attacks as the stats says although the term Resist could mean avoiding debuffs.
Evasion, honestly have no clue might be an all around thing.

    Dodged a bullet,
    Evaded the question,
    Deflected the punch,
    Resisted arrest.

Each implies a different type of activity based upon different character traits???

    Some games use

Deflect for avoiding range and magical attacks

Dodge for avoiding melee and physical attacks

Resist for reduction of magical damage

And evade for avoiding all types of damage

Delfection is evading (dodging) an attack that uses special damage.
Dodge is evading an attack that uses physical damage.
If a character resists something, it warded off a negative status effect. E.g. Sidious AOE = DOTs on all enemies. It won't always land on all enemies becuase he has a low potency and some characters may have a very high tenacity, meaning it is very unlikely to land.
Evasion is just a general term for dodging both types of damage. E.g. Evasion up on lumi = +10% evasion (I think), so she has +10% dodge chance and +10% deflection chance on top of her natural evasion ratings.
