Is it bad that I don't want "main" characters taking over the meta entirely?

I feel there are many named toons that are already part of the meta, but some people don't like how unnamed ones like GS, FOTP, RG, and others are given prominent roles in the meta too. They remark they don't deserve such power, but would this statement really be mitigated if their abilities, under different names, were given to characters like Mace, Vader, or Boba who are all arguably not part of the meta? They'll just be different faces using the same moves dealing the same amount of damage. Nothing would be solved.
I for one am happy that minor characters are seeing action in today's meta, since it expands people's attentions past the main characters. True, the meta shift is coming, but here's hoping it won't nerf them.

Games like this need vanilla toons to be good and in some cases better.

Simply because everyone wants to farm the cool looking/main characters anyway.

Devs of this type of game usually want to trick you into farming the cool looking guys then realize should of farmed vanilla and then maybe you open u your wallet...
