Beginner Fleet formation

Hello everyone and happy holydays.

I'm a relatively new player that has been focusing on champion development while neglecting fleet.
I would like to start redirecting that focus a bit towards that aspect but I have no idea what ships to go for.
If anyone can advice some ships, teams to start with and maybe what ships to start grinding shards for I'd be most grateful.

We don't know what you already have or what your current goals are outside of fleets. Those are factors that might change the answer to your question.

While you're gathering info and formulating a strategy, start farming Bossk and his ship (now, or as soon as you have access to those nodes). The ship is on Light Side 8-D, and Bossk is on Dark Side 9-B. Best fleet tank in the game hands down - by a LARGE margin. He plugs into nearly any fleet and increases their effectiveness.

Idk if it’s being argued. Maybe razor crest as a close second, but i’m thinking HT is prob the best.

Well a lot depends on your capital ship and your capital ship crew, AA, Mace and Tarkin. Hounds Tooth is a massive tank that fits just about anywhere but i feel you arent near that.

So the basic caps ships you are at are are Home1, executrix and Endurance. Would recommend you go after Thrawn and Chimaera, use biggs and phoenix ships with Home1, work on geos and tie bomber/tie advanced. Im not sure you should waste resources on hyena at this time.

A lot depends on whether your ship farming takes from character farming. Its not an easy question to answer as some meta ships are hidden behind solo journeys etc.

Edit. Make sure you understand the impact of the toon piloting the ship you farmed hard for. No point in having a ferrarri with Stevie Wonder at the wheel.

Ok u just looked at that. i would say to try to def work on the phoenix fleet. maybe throw in a few more rebels and for the time being, vader and fives’ ship
