Protection stat/dmg balancing = longer battles = thermal detonators becoming viable?

What do you think? Will the coming changes legitimize Nute, Greedo, etc?

    I cant see it. If you ask me if I want Damage now vs. Damage later I'll always opt for now unless the damage later is massive. The only other reason to toss a thermal detonator is to get around a toon that counters. I don't see how protection will change that basic equation.

    Maybe viable in GW but not in the arena.
    Offensively potent but also defensive weak since players can use Ackbar/Lobot to take advantage of that to accumulate greater heals.

    I like the imagine ackbar running around trying to throw back all the thermal detonators that greedo throws. Like oh no gotta save the team.
