I increasingly believe time-in-game is a metric CG tracks for their EA overlords. An RNG-reliant raid that take 20-30 minutes to max all five attempts (every three days) must look great. Not to mention the tediousness of TW and conquest.

We've known that for a long time. For instance, we know for a fact that CG deliberately chose to make conquest more grindy to increase "engagement" which translated to "minutes of time playing battles in that mode".
