Offense down on character with offense up

When doing Old Bens special on enemies with an offense up buff, I notice that offense down is never applied and it doesnt say it was resisted. I'm not sure what should happen, but I would think it should at least remove the offense up (the offense down cancels it out), if not apply offense down outright. Also, I'm pretty sure I have seen a case where I've applied the offense down and still saw the offense up buff, but then removed the buff with ventress and saw the offense down like it was applied but the offense up overrode it.

I still notice this issue of conflicting buffs/debuffs not being displayed above the character properly. If a unit has offense down and they gain offense up, or vice versa, then the status displayed above them should change to reflect their current state. Right now it seems like the new conflicting status effect just gets hidden until the original goes away or is removed.
