New game mode idea - DRAFT

Has anyone thought of a game mode in the spirit of a draft? Similar to Hearthstone arena mode you would pay some currency to enter a tournament that starts by selecting a team one pick at a time. In each draft round would be one of 3 random heroes up to say 7 total. A team of 5 with 2 on the bench. Then you would be given a certain number of resources to gear up and ability mats to ration out for abilities. You'd then play random matches against others with the same restrictions until you'd won 12 or lost 3. No characters or resources would be kept but prizes would increase with more wins. You could have different tears like a lower star, gear and ability team or maxed out uber squads.

I feel a mode like this would keep things fresh and new and level the playing field regardless of investment. And it would give players a chance to use heroes they hadn't used before.

Thoughts? Would EA and CG benefit from a mode like this?
