So.. just won Galactic War post update

I am F2P, never spent a cent. Been playing since January, am level 73, have 6 characters at 7 star, 6 at 6 star, and a several at 5.
Since the update there has been a lot of complaint about Galactic War being "impossible".
Yes it is difficult to win Galactic War. Yes it requires lots of retreats and rearranges. Yes it requires suicide squads. Yes the enemies always have full protection at the start of the battle. but it is possible to win.
Just a few tips to help. Don't waste the protection of your top toons early in the war. If you can get away with winning with weaker toons for the first 5 nodes, do it.
Also, everyone has more protection, making battles last longer. This also means that more actions are carried out, more attacks, therefore your cool downs will refresh more. This is huge for the healers. Especially with Lumi, in old galactic war if you used a heal late in the fight, her cooldown would not refresh until the end of the next fight, sometimes start of the next battle, making that fight a struggle, potentially losing toons. With these longer battles, Lumi seems to always have her heal ready when needed.

Yeah that will be an issue.. 5 maxed out toons arent likely to cut it..
