Guild Chat is Here - How about Shard Chat / Global Chat and Private Chat
OK - Well done CG/EA on getting the new update out. A few rough edges but a lot of new stuff to look around at.
One thing I have been missing in this game is the Global Chat and Private Chat functionality that is present in so many other games of this type. It looks like the bare bones of an in-game chat system is now in place.
I realise that these types of chat can lead to some undesirable interactions but also a lot of positives in terms of making new connections / forming guilds / fostering competition etc. Unfortunately at the moment the only way to find a guild is via the forums / reddit / line etc etc ad nauseum...I would have thought that the best place to do this kind of searching / vetting would actually be in game?
I think that with appropriate controls (eg block / ignore and report behaviour functionality) this could be very beneficial for all of the players.
Would be very interested to know if this is a possibility in the future.
