Borrow Allies Question

So even if I sim a light side battle does it use allies?
Since it generates ally points I assume it starts consuming allies?
For example, I tried a normal light side mission (no sim) and it only shows one ally available.
I've done all the guild light side battles, giving 1400 energy
Cantina and DS shows more allies, and even the Barris I want to borrow in Cantina.

I belive it gives you 10 points, meaning it is supposedly borrowing a non ally
