Raids- how do I join one?

I feel like an **** because I figured the leader of my squad just had not started one but now the leaderboards are showing that they finally did yet I see no way to actually join one. Can someone in the most basic language explain how to actually join a raid? Thanks

Your guild leader (or officers) can start the raid. It's not up to you when a raid starts. You should join the chat or something and ask your leader when he will start the raid. As soon as a raid is started you can easily join it on the Guild section. Once the Rancor has been defeated your chance to join the raid has passed and you have to wait until the next time the leader starts one (which probably takes 2 or more days again)
