I cant fight in the pit...?

I'm Lvl 72, in a guild and have the proper characters. I can select the pit any tier but I don't get an option to battle.

I press "Go" and nothing for the past two days... this guild thing is a joke. Why do I even bother...oh because I can only get needed gear...but how can I even do so if I can't participate...nevertheless place top 3 in tier 5...

Only leader and officers can start a raid and others dont even see the costs. So why you can participate is probably bc there is no raid started.
T1 is 30k guild coins and it only gets higher

I find this part of the game quite silly at the moment. Love the rest of it though.

I'm kinda confused by this too. So, once a guild leader/officer starts the raid, everyone in the guild gets a chance to enter one or more of these battles? Is it a live thing so you have to be online a the right time, or does it just unlock the battle so we can enter anytime in the next x hours/days?
