App games, and guilds

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I play app games because they are fun, quick, and not complicated. I don't play them to socialise, or grind away most of the day... I play 'real' high end MMOs, and co-op games for that privilege. This is one of my favourite app games, despite some grindiness, and all the failed balancing and ai tweaks. Now I find, not only have guilds been added (great for those social types), but that if ones wants to compete, and have any hope of obtaining high end mats, one needs, not only a guild, but a large very active guild. Now I'm forced to rely on 49 other people to reach my goals.

As it stands, this really blows. Thanks for turning a great little game into a beast of forced suckiness.

A lot of us now do most of our gaming on mobile. It's a personal preference.
I have 3 or 4 games I play regularly on my tablet and two of them are guild/clan games.

Granted it is a personal choice, and there are lots of very successful guild based apps... All of which are quite up front about the guild aspect, and didn't force it on their community months after release. This as it stands is forced, plain and simple, as there are currently no other reasonable ways of gaining the high end mats.
