Raid Attempts Question

Regarding the 5 attempts that you get to complete the new raid, is that a bank shared by your entire guild or are the attempts private to yourself? I don't want to use up attempts in place of other guild members but I'm unsure if everyone in the guild gets 5 attempts or they are shared with everyone. Any help is appreciated.
