Daily rewards skipped a day!

So I logged in yesterday and noticed that I had one more day left of April to claim a full month and gain the achievement.

This morning it had skipped to May (because it is May!) and the daily login rewards has reset!
WTH??

You missed a day somewhere throughout the month. It doesn't skip and give the day you log in (1st reward for the first, last reward for the 30th etc.), it only gives the total number of times you logged in throughout the month as a reward. So if you miss one of three days or anything, you won't see a break in the login rewards, you just won't get the last few days of rewards.
