Tribal Healer Elder Status Effects

I have a level 6 (4186) and supposedly when used, will "lose all negative status effects" this is so not true!! Tried to use after Darth Vader - Forced Crush (as i knew Culling blade was to follow) and maybe one negative status effect disappeared from each of my players....and there went my Tribal Healer with the blade.
