7 star character's shards

I just wonder, why I can keep on gathering a character shards after I have upgraded that character to 7 star. Especially, the shards of that character can only get from chromium pack.
It means nothing to this character,right? only waste my money.


could you just remove the character shards from the chromium pack after a player upgrade that character to 7 star, or enough to upgrade to 7 star?

They won't do that, if they did then they would lose money on the chromium packs. For example let's say if they made it the way you're asking, then people could do the math and figure out it would take let's say exactly 200 chromium packs in order to 7* every character in the game. However once every character is 7* the player will not have any reason to spend more money on the game.
