New Gear Bug?

Not sure if this is known, but it appears for me that the "Green Dot Functionality" that lets you see which characters can use certain gear does not work with some of the newer gear. Might be only with the Salvage pieces that this doesn't work. Is this intentional?

Would be nice to have the green dot for those.
