Snowtrooper Overwhelming Assault Bug on Auto-Play

As much as I hate to complain about a feature that lets the game play itself, the Snowtrooper is still not using its AOE attack correctly. If you have a group of enemies left, he will only use his single-target shot. If you have only 1 enemy left, he'll use Overwhelming Assault. Seems backward, no?
