Please Explain Mace Windu's Vaapad

I just want to make sure I understand Vaapad correctly. It adds 20% Offense to Jedis, for the sake of round numbers, does that mean an attack that hits for 1,000 hp without Mace as leader, would hit for 1,200 hp with him? Trying to figure out if Mace or Qui-Gon is a better leader.

That is the way I understand it. Same as anyone else who gives an offense boost.

I feel I have to add my two cents. The game has abilities that give +Offense, and some abilities that will do +Damage. I would like to know if there is a difference, or if they're just using the two words interchangeably.
