Stats and Natural Stars

I think it would be helpful if character stats more closely correlated to their damage and viability. In many other games of this genre, characters with higher "natural stars" are more powerful. Stats go up per level, but characters with higher natural stars have higher end-game stats.

Damage - always for basic attacks, and to a lesser extent for special attacks - should be higher for someone with a higher damage stat, on average.

Of course, some lower natural-starred characters may have really useful special skills, or there may be interesting synergies. But in this game, damage != stats. Gets confusing, and seems arbitrary.
