Max Level?

Hi guys so I currently im at level 60 and it is saying that I am at the maximum level but when I look at the gear for some of my characters saying need level 62 It's clear that somehow i'm not leveling up

60 is the current level cap. I'm assuming that they will keep it at level 60 for a little while to give all the new players who started at global launch a chance to catch up to the players who have been playing since beta.
