Lvl past 60

So my Luminara is at lvl 60 but 1 gear slot says equip at lvl 65 how can I do this if lvl 60 is max .. And daily rewards keeps giving xp wich I see as pointless if 60 is max maybe give other prizes at that point

they're increasing the lvl cap this month to 70

Thanks ..So what happens with all the Xp I earn now does it go to waste or stores up for upgrade ?
