Gear placement question

I have a MK6 Nubian Design tech . Do I give it to Rey , whom would still need a furnace to upgrade to gear 10, or GS who I would then upgrade to 10. Rey is a part of all teams , GS is #1 on depth chart replacing anyone that dies in GW
