A question (or two) about allies

So here i am, thinking why is the game letting me borrow some of the ally heroes, and not letting me borrow others. I don't want a 1* snowtrooper (probably should remove that guy) i want the purple geared Old Daka. If anyone has a better understanding of this than me, please let me know

I don't know, I just click that button again and again to renew it till get a good one, and I never remove anyone cuz I'm just that kindhearted

I've been renewing for like 25 minutes now and the best it's given me is a 5* Gunray

There are multiple threads about this. If you search the forum you will find it.
Basically it depends on what heroes your allies used as leader and if you already used their heroes. (it goes on some sort of cooldown)
