Why no "why did they nerf GW" mega thread?

Just wondering? Instead of actually fixing the problem they just nerfed GW. Saw plenty of post regarding this but seem to be getting lost.

Why did I post? Look at your guild and then sort by arena power; unless your top 5 toons are your arena squad it is not your arena power. GW was based on top 5 toons. Protection was, and is a broken system created for one reason only; to counter the speed meta. The way to fix Galatic war wasn't to nerf it but to (1) deal with bad protection idea
(2) base opponents not on a players top 5 characters.

There were a couple of quiet complaints, but you probably didn't hear them over the tremendous sigh's of relief resonating around the globe as people discovered GW was now as tough as Wales' resistance against England earlier today.

Personally, yeah, GW sücks now. Major balls.

I'm disappointed with it now. It was fine how it was but now it's just another auto button event. I'm just not going to make a thread and whine about it like 90% of the community does about anything and everything. And just to make it clear I'm not saying you're whining with this post. I guess serious discussions are regulated to feedback. NP. I thought you were the one moving it and didn't realize you we're commenting on moving it.

I would not be surprised if GW difficulty wasn't manipulated to level the playing field.

It was only really tough for players with close to fully kitted toons. I.e. whales. Now that some legitimate f2p are reaching this threshhold, they remove the brakes.

Good thing, imo. Reigning in whales is good for the game. The timing on the GW nerf is perfect for game balance.
