Character Upgrades

My character icon has a badge saying I have 3 upgrades available but when I go to upgrade my characters, there's nothing I see that I can upgrade. Are some upgrades not as easily seen or found? Where should I look? What am I missing?

Scroll down. Some characters have an extra ability you may be missing, such as something passive.

Thanks for the response but I don't think that's what it is. I'm only a level 34 so I don't know if that has any bearing on anything. I tried to scroll down on every character and there was nothing to scroll to.

It's because somewhere in your gear, very possibly in a higher gear than you can reach at your level, is something that can be made for an upgrade. Just learn to live with it because chances are that 1 will turn into a 3 very soon. Everyone has to deal with this and yes it is annoying.
