In rank 1, what happens if I start a battle with rank2-3 again?

Never been in the position before so was just wondering whether I would somehow drop?

    No, if you lose the battle you will swap ranks. Better to time out if it looks like you will lose. You keep your rank if you win or time out.

    False. You do not lose rank if you lose a battle on offense to a lower-ranked AI defense team.

    I imagine not being able to battle once you're at 1 would be a good incentive to drop rank, thus freeing some of the stagnant top arena pools.

    Not really first time I reached there and had no idea, got sniped at payout time and finished 4th not sure how to prevent this
