There was a game called Dungeon Keeper interesting concept, you play as the enemy basically and AI plays as "good" guys..

So instead of conquering the dungeon your job was to defend it.

I believe that if WE could play as Rancor maybe guild vs guild this could work. Take turns playing as the Rancor against other players.. might be fun instead of just watching Rancor devour our teams we could do the devouring..

WE could get rewards for limiting the damage done by players.. just thought this might make things a tad more interesting.
