5 Things That Should be Fixed Before Adding Any New Content.

Dear EA/CG, dear community

I've been a player since launch, logging in every day. And enjoying the ride with all the up and down's. Although I'm not sure you value the feedback that is given by your playerbase, this is an honest attempt to try anyway.

@Community: If you agree, please comment or add your own list of stuff that needs fixing for a long time.

Before you release any new content, please fix the following five things.

- 1. Credit Crunch: Mods made it worse. This is a very unnecessary block to advance. You will earn enough money without adding this.

- 2. Healers: With the implemention of protection and increase in dps potency you made healers pretty much useless. Rethink it, redesign it. Maybe even add the ability to heal health AND protection.

- 3. Characters: Many characters are simply useless. Fix those who are. And no, just making Anaking better doesn't cut it. And while you at it: Please add descriptions to every stat so us players know what the stat is for.

- 4. GW: Galactic Wars is not fun. I don't care about difficulty. Stuff that feels like a chore sucks. Sorry devs. Redesign the whole concept.

- 5. Raiding: OK, we get it that's the first raid you designed. Why not design it that it actually rewards collaboration within the guild and not inner competition like now? That's totally wrong. Rethink the awarding system. There are many good options you can look at any solid MMO.

    +1 Credit crunch - it's gotten worse for sure, also training droids need to be increased too. I actually find myself more crunched for those.

    +1 Healers and all toons.... your point on healers and characters is really one point; every toon should hold value and right now way too many do not. And just leveling, gearing, promoting a toon that is only useful in a mod challenge is still the same as zero value for me. Healers should be able to punish someone the same that Rey can and right now, who kills a healer first, second or even third?

    -1 GW - while it could be reworked and yes it is boring... I think it's OK. My entire daily routine minus waiting on challenge timers takes me 23 minutes right now. (and besides the chore of raids, those are boring!)

    +1 on stats / calculations - this shouldn't all be behind the curtain. Tell us how stuff is supposed to work then when we test it for you we can provide more valuable feedback.

    Guild wars are a lot of fun. We are doing T7. If u find it a chore join a diferent guild. No chore here since the raid is usually finished in an hour.

    Credits, need more credits. Really peeved right now as I had a long day at work to get home and find I had missed the credit event. Had been preparing my scoundrels for this as I struggled last time. As an event that was described as a way to lessen the credit crunch it does not run often enough or for long enough.

    1. Make GW fun. It's the only place we could play with characters that are otherwise unviable but we've collected just because we like them. Cad Bane and Boba Fett suck, but they're fun. I'd like to run them in GW instead of using the same top teams I use everywhere else, and even having to use them on the easy nodes in order to have a TM advantage on the Godzilla nodes.

    2. Give mods they're own energy. Creating a challenge that requires a large and diverse roster but simultaneously cripples the ability to farm that roster is so counter intuitive it's insane.

    3. Make credit rewards for mod challenges much larger. You'll ease everyone's primary issue and encourage them to play with your new feature.

    Credit crunch - ABSOLUTELY agree with this (to an EXTENT). We shouldn't be able to max out everything in a week. It's what keeps the game going. Leveling mods is ridiculous though. 500k for one mod to be maxed is beyond reasonable. I find it crazy that nobody in our guild really cares about the raid gear and we all rejoice at credits.

    Healers - Eh, I'm on the fence here. Healers come in great in GW (and sometimes Arena...a sneak Lumi in there and people wonder WTH? How'd he beat me with her?) Protection regeneration would be nice, however, they'll probably come out with it in Arodium like "Oh, you don't like Dodge? Here's B2 and Zam Wessell. Plaese to gave us ur monies?"

    Useless characters - I wholeheartedly think that a side effect of mods was to "get out of" character reworks. Oh, Maul is too slow? Here, spend 3 million for speed mods! That makes him *almost* viable in GW!

    GW - 50-50. If it wasn't a main source of credits I would have packed it in a long time ago, HOWEVER, I am one of the rare ones who finds GW semi fun as far as the concept of it. What I DON'T like is the fact it takes an hour and for others it takes more. This is a mobile game, not a MMORPG.

    Raiding - +1Billion. I do NOT want to compete with my teammates over raid rewards. That's just ridiculous. I haven't ever played any other MMORPG's, so unfortunately I don't have a solution for the rewards restructuring. Maybe some others on here do. I personally like the action of raiding, I don't like how they made us compete with one another when we're trying to accomplish the same goal.

    Can't believe the OP doesn't mention Galactic Flaw. That, for me, is the single most broken aspect of the game.

    This is my suggestion for raid rewards fix:
    Thanks for taking this up. Being an oldschool mmo vet, i've thought about it a lot.

    There are many ways but the most simple way would be to change the most valuable reward: gear. Make it totally random. Dmg ranking only awards fame within the guild and maybe some extra credits. Your only eligible for raid rewards if you contributed 600 coins daily. Period would have to be defined to allow some off day :)

    The more complex way would be to change the design completely. This would take too long to write on my mobile. Will do so later :open_mouth:

    Of course. That wasn't me being flippant; I just didn't get any sleep last night and am struggling to engage my brain today!

    Oh, COMPLETELY understand that!!!! Just like I'm on my second travel mug on coffee this morning. Fridays take me a while to kick into high gear.

    Credit crunch +2, no fun farming characters like Han and having him sit at level 1.

    Healers +1, definitely needs something tweaked here. Maybe 30% less protection on all and 30% more health? IDK.

    Useless characters +3, so many characters grinder because you love the character but would never use since t b eyre weak or broken.

    GW -1, It's the only part of the game I don't sim and have fun doing the matches. I also complete daily, I would probably be upset if I couldn't.

    Raids -1, I love T7 heroic raids! Complete every other day, just wish it lasted longer than 20 minutes. Maybe more health?

    Some others have made good points to make it not a guild war against each vs. With each other.


    Every change made should have "is it fun" considered before "will this make money". People have already been spending.

Especially now that you introduced mods, it would be more of a shift than a change. Buy at least it would be a step in the right direction.

    OMG, THIS ALL DAY. For real. 1 million after farming 100 shards. Had they not introduced Mods, this would have been ok but now we're all begging for mercy. Training droids AND credits to me has always been kind of a slap in the face.

    If they do that though, they'll double the cost of training droids, cut the challenges in half and boost the price on the packs.

    This would be amazing. Now the toon wouldn't be end game ready still but we could actually level up all of the characters we have shards for. I have over 10 myself with enough training droids but can't level or star them.

    I think I would have to agree with this.

    1. Credit crunch is stupid, but also does go to gear crunch to some extent.
    2. Healers are redundant now. Only time they are useful are in these long 8 battle events like the empire one possibly. Tend to not even use them in GW much anymore either.
    3. So many awful characters still.
    4. GW is alright as a concept. It can be too hard at times due to protection. The main issue is that rewards dont scale with level.
    5. The raid, well people are saying they like it. OP didn't say it wasn't fun. He said it was bad that guild members compete against eachother. Design wise having different phases that have different damage levels as well is unfair and poorly done. Best option would be to have 1 system that everyone in the guild can fight and it is the same for everyone. Each person gets rewards individually based on the score they do in it. The guild as a whole get a reward based on how much damage the whole guild did together. That breeds more teamwork.

    In other words they aren't making any changes as long as the money's rolling in.

    Great thread guys and def agree with everything said.

    1. The credit crunch is real people! I have many shards waiting to be added to my toons but no money to spent on them. 1 million to go to 7*?!?! Sure at the start of the game that may have been a good idea but now there are too many things to spend credits on and we're not receiving any extra cash. So please add better credit rewards to GW (it takes 1+ hour to complete, the rewards should reflect as such) and to challenges, and make the Credit packs cheaper in the store, and people might actually buy it. Also I've spent a lot of money on chromium packs but it's really useless now to spent anything as I can't convert the shards anyway. Not spending anything until this credit issue is fixed!!!!!

    2. Please add characters that restore protection instead of health, and maybe retool some older healers to heal both health and protection. Again, you've changed the system from how it was designed at the start but didn't follow through. Adding the protection was in my opinion a good move as it opened up more strategies. Now you need the healers to fit into these strategies. Leave Lumi as she is, but change other healers slightly so they become relevant to the game.

    3. The sad thing is that these useless characters are now needed to fill up our mod challenge teams. I get that there should be a difference in premium characters and starter toons, but then at least give us more toon options for the mod challenges... So many toons are not represented in these mod challenges like, droids, clones, nightsister, geonosian. Please let us use these as well. More options please. for the Jawa, first order, and resistance teams there are only 5 characters. I though you guys we're working towards diversity, but this doesn't look like diverse at all. Add droids to Jawa challenges, and figure something for the other teams. And please make my clone team useful. I and many others have spent a lot of money to get this team but they're completely useless besides GW.

    4. I honestly think the GW was fine before, it's very difficult now and takes a lot of time to complete. I liked that we could use it as a training ground for different team setups. Now that it has become quite difficult that went away a bit. Still fine with the setup but please please like I mentioned earlier. Reflect the difficulty in the rewards. The final node should rewards 200k credits AT LEAST, the one before that 100k at least. The total credits for the GW should be between 1-2 million per day.

    5. I like the raid but indeed it does not promote team work at all. Would be nice if the gear drop would be random but please only reward those that actually participate in guild activities.

    I agree on credit crunch. Totally disagree on healers and GW. If healers healed protection they'd be broken. And concept wise how would a healer heal protection? Healers should not heal protection. Maybe the garbage can with legs power droid could come out and restore some protection, but damage to a force field is not the same as a wound. Thus healers do not nor should they ever heal protection. GW is a chore but that's why I like it. Once I beat GW everyday I have nothing to til an hour before arena payout.

    GWAR is fine. Healers doing protection too...meh. Then it should all just be health. Passive heal is still really really good in this game.

    I don't agree that every toon needs to be useful for everything. Not every pokémom is useful but it's still part of the game...doing anakin to all toons will just make more problems

    How to kill two birds with one stone: fix healers. Make them relevant again, and people will naturally stop complaining about galactic war. If healing spilled over into protection at a 50% rate, you would solve two majors issues.

    And yes, the raid rewards issue is still incredibly stupid, and is something that no one wants.

    Why is a word that rhymes with 'Cupid' censored? The only objective there would be to make it look like I'm using harsher language than I am.

    1 real balance promised at some points where slow hit harder and fast hit softer. Yea I'm looking at you marey sue

    2 more viable tanks for different strategies at least before meta changed now it's been the same fing thing for too long

    3 don't listen to lobby groups that get preferential treatments. Yea I'm looking at you TI.

    4 I don't want more credits. *takes cover* what you don't realize is that more credits means more things to spend in the end we will loose out. They want more credits ok introduce star # 8... That's what they asked for...

    5 reset ranks once in awhile so yea make seasons or something.

    Rey is too much OP, QGJ too.

    I agree wholeheartedly with everything the OP said. However, I would like to add one more, one that seems insignificant compared to others, and probably is, but is so frustrating:

    Guild Chat

    The interface has been broken for a while, adding extra blank space between lines. Then occasionally it completely blanks out. It often doesn't update unless you chat something or do a hard restart, then you find hundreds of lines of conversation that have been missed. And of course, no way to ping a particular user. Character limit is insanely small, making it difficult to read a complete thought from one person.

    Please, spend just one person for a couple of days cleaning it up. It would go so far in making one of the best parts of the game for me and my guild mates so much less frustrating.

    - Credit Heist needs to be every day and have more credits rewarded. (This will help upgrading mods as well as everything else that needs credits)
    - Raid rewards need to be given more. Somehow only top players in their raid squad get the good gear. There is a definitive gap between the people who get the furnaces and the people who don't.
    - Galactic war - increase credit payout, Give 5 shards of a random toon who is not accessible for free-to-play players. And don't make it too hard because there are still achievements for finishing 500+ Galactic Wars.
    - Toons abilities need to do what the descriptions actually say. Make useless toons better. Example, Boba Fett & all scoundrels. Darth Maul - i don't have him but wish i did/heard he sucks.
