GW versus guild mate

2 days in a row, a guild mate popped up in my GW in the middle of the road fights. He asked me what the team was, I posted both times to him, and both times the team was different then the characters he actually has at certain levels. So why would EA/CG even use people's names associated in GW if you are just going to use randomly generated numbers for their team anyway. This whole thing is pretty confusing.

Right when mods came out, I upgraded Lando to max. I used him as lead in arena. Less then 14 hours later my team was in three different guildies gw. It was one of the killer node 11, 12 teams.
