I bought 2800 gems!

This was the biggest purchase I've made. And it's not for extra credits or chromium packs, or so called 'special' deals lol. Because that equals gambling, and gambling equals odds stacked against you, unless you have an edge besides money, like skill, unless you have money in abundance, which, obviously, I don't.
I bought them as a long term investment for farming one character I missed in my initial squad planning, hence, in order to still stay competitive, and still have the resources to farm this one character, I needed a boost.
So now that I have a sizable amount of gems - everything besides farming extra Cantina battles seems like a wild roll of the dice. My conclusion is, that all these paying options are styled towards suckers and whales, kinda like a game of snakes and ladders. My point is, if i'm going to put in a decent amount of coin, I can't just simple gamble it away, or I mite as well head straight to a casino while I'm at it.
Not really going anywhere with this, just stating that this game has a real loser-at-a-casino feel. And that's not cool.

2800 isn't a huge amount, it'll buy you 2 full pieces or some refreshes for a little while. If I were you I'd work on my arena team and focus on top 3 a day. I've saved up 5k in a few weeks from that alone.
Thanks for supporting the devs tho, maybe they'll make some balance changes or something soon.
I started over on a new server, with that added competitiveness, it raised the stakes. On my other account, started last December, which was free to play, I barely bother with it now and still end up under 200 - before mods that number was significantly higher at under 500. Mods seemed to have cleared that server, but on this new server, it was unaffected my the mod gong show.
I'll be looking for better deals in the future, and not ones to make me feel like a sucker.
20€ compared to people already paying over 1k$\€ is nothing. Whats the point? Just a hihihi post lol
I never feel i'm "supporting" a company when i'm buying something from them. I want something, they sell it, i buy it. In this case they sell something I want, but the price isnt worth it, so i dont buy it. Most certainly not to "support" multinational conglomerate.
Pre level 80, yeah, extra cantina battles/XP/shards/mats are all good stuff. Once you hit gear and credit shortages, extra cantina battles are ok on sundays, maybe. Other than the first few days after the mod patch, I haven't bought the FIRST refill except on Sundays, in about 2 months.
All those alt toons I started working on 3 and 4 months ago... still working on the gear. 6000 stun gun salvages to go.
Please sir, take these 500 shards for a stun gun. Congrats on the score. You can buy one stun gun and have 280 crystals left over.
cantina has the best characters, store and battles. Unfortunatly i find the 200 refresh too expensive, otherwise i'd be doing them all day, everyday. I stopped investing gear and credits in those GW/Arena store characters though.
I spend 2800 crystals every week or two, all on gear. Just doing the booster pack and saving cantina refresh crystals and doing well in arena. Not even raid gear. I pass on those more often than not, now. Buying cuffs and stun guns and other random purples.
I'm losing my will, though. Gotta admit, after this latest armor patch, I'm starting to check out. I try to save resources for when the wind changes. But the amounts needed are so ridiculous now. My 6 million credits and 2000 crystals and thousands of tokens pretty much amount to nothing. I'm stuck to the will of EA's next whimsical rebalance.
Well, yea. you are right actually. got a lvl 1, 186/85 Poe(cantina store) sitting in my inventory catching dust. Got 5mil credits, but other characters have priority gearwise.
Just one? I have over 50 star level promotion I could do, eleven of which are for 7 star. Just no credits.
1 cantina character, 2 others. But i guess it all comes down to how long you've been playing
Personally i have only one toon I could promote right now to seven. And I have the credits. I just don't need him, yet, cuz he has only g8. And GW tokes. Nuff said.
For any cantina or guild store or hard node toon, I will usually have at least gear 9 before I farm shards past 5 stars. If I get max gear before the seventh star? Yup BTDT and it is totally fine. Most toons work great with only 5 or 6 stars.
I don't spend money on these types of games for just that reason. I can blow $15 a month on World of Warcraft and have endless amounts of time to have fun, or $60 for Skyrim and put in 2,000 hours.
Or I could blow $100 on a mobile game that buys me..... 10 refreshes? Yea, ha.. no..
My favorite: Spend $60 on a character pack where you have a "chance" to get the character. Lolerskates.
Agreed. I sub to WoW and FF14, which totals out to be 30 a month, but that also gives me unlimited game-time and endless hours of fun. Where as on here you spend 60 and like you said, "get a chance" at getting a character lol. $60 can get you Witcher 3, or you can MAYBE get a 4* toon lol.
