RAID PHASE 1 completed message while still playing with 40% health on boss

Last night I was in phase 1 of a tier 6 raid. I was on a roll manipulating turn meter with about 40% left on the boss. That's when I see the message pop up on the guild chat that PHASE 1 OF RAID IS COMPLETED. I started to bail with the escape hatch and finally got most of my toons out and I was finally killed off. One of my guild mates was on there at the same time and finished the phase. Seems like bug here to me.

I don't believe this is a bug at all. Did you both start at 100%?

I don't think we both started at 100%. I was on my second wave after escaping out of my first run. I started the raid.

It is not a bug
U can start the phase at 100% at 10 a m, and then go have a cup of tea

While you are drinking tea your mates kill the boss at 10 30
At 10 40 you look at the phone and you still have 100% but the phase is completed
However you can solo it and all the damage will stay with you

Well I couldn't keep my eyes open. I was getting whiplash between attacks.
