Rancor Devour Logic Question

In searching, I see quite a bit about how the cooldown works on Devour, but not the logic of whom it picks (if any). Does anyone know what the logic is when Rancor goes for devour?

There is very little logic in any of the ai, it's rng.

60% of the time, he eats my First Order Stormtrooper every time. The other 40% of the time, he always eats Ackbar first, every time. I think he really doesn't like support characters that boost the rest of the squad.

For a while it seemed like he ate the one with the lowest hp remaining, but now it usually is Teebo or Rey/QGJ with it being random. At one point it seemed like it was the last one to hit the Rancor got it, but that theory died.

I find he likes to eat tanks that have taunted, even if the taunt was removed the previous round of moves.

RNG, random number generator. That being said there might be some preferred order but I don't think so.

In my experience he targets the healer/debuffer first, then the highest dps.
