I'm a fair way into the light side battles and have yet to see any Hard missions where you can earn shards to unlock the character, can anybody tell me if it's possible to grind her shards?
View any character and there is a find button that will show you everywhere you can get shards for them, even if there is a battle that is still locked for you it will show it.
