Lost account??

I logged on only to find that I was given a new.account and could not get into my real account. Does anyone have any tips so I can get all my progress back??

Go through that skirmish and let your account connect afterwards with either Ios/apple or google play/android.
It happens when you re install the app i.e. so don't panic but just go through the first 5 mins of the newly installed account and afterwards you should be able to load your existing account.

It's not even showing the opening screen, !just cantina. Should I still play through?

Please check your Game Center. If you are not connected/logged into your Game Center it won't recognize you.
