Let's talk about The Whale Gap.
The gap between f2p and p2p is getting greater and greater. There is no denying it. The advantage of p2p toons especially in the new meta is abundant. Add mods into the equation and that gap has become astronomical. It's becoming to the point where heavy whale teams are actually impossible to beat without Perfect RNG

I'm ftp also and get top 5 every day also. But when someone is running a Wiggs lando emp ST Han team with every toon over 215 speed then there's nothing but a Rex led team or perfect RNG to beat that

No one who's free to play has a maxed out danger zone team. Wedge was just released and anybody who's free to play is lucky to have him at 6*. not to mention his shard farming competes with lando and Anakin.
Also, the biggest advantage that whales have is not in the handful of characters that are pay to play, but in the gear and mods they can buy which allows them to build deeper rosters. Buying the colored mods with the the right secondary stats to upgrade is an enormous advantage

good, as someone else stated there would be no game at all without p2p people. This is a business, they are here to make money. This isn't bernie sanders socialism.
That's all fine and dandy but I get your point. They don't care about making the game fair to all it is all about profit. But it's especially annoying to me right now. I'm from a November shard and I've always been top 10 by creating anti-meta teams because I hated following the meta. Now I am forced to farm lando and wedge and join the meta because the only anti to the current meta is p2p. I.e. Rex or crazy insane mods.

I am F2P too, and generaly do well in all aspects of the game - but I do notice the gap increasing between F2P and P2P - especially ever since the mod update really, because of what has been said above.
I think if they raise the level cap to 90 at this point it would really cripple the F2P player base that is struggling to keep its head above water. I think a lot of F2P players will walk.
However, keeping the game interesting for those who have everything and beat everything is respectfully challenging on EA's part.
Perhaps these new PVP tournaments should be more geared between whale P2P players? - but I doubt it.
Perhaps P2P should have a separate shard/server to play against each other.
When this game was released there was a statement that it would be well balanced between P2P and F2P - and that is increasingly not the case.
Look at the military might and Ewok events etc - Whale P2P and Longstanding F2P complete these events in their sleep. BUT - not making those events properly tiered for lower F2P players is exactly pinpointing the fact that this game is anything but balanced.
I understand that events geared towards lower level players is in the works, but of course will be open to everyone else too, so how is that really helping anyone?
